Can you make Thunderbird 5 out of cardboard boxes or the Starship Enterprise from an old tube and some egg boxes? This is our version of the classic TV programme which challenges teams of practical geniuses to create a piece of equipment that will be able to complete a given task, but only by using the material they can scavenge from an old pile of rubbish; and boy, have we been busy collecting rubbish!

Over the weekend teams of up to four people will be given 45 minutes to build a specified project that will be a Sci-Fi/Cult TV based challenge. Once the time is up the entries will be displayed so that everyone can admire the hard graft, inventiveness and sheer bodging ingenuity that has taken place. We expect that the excitement generated will be unbearable! The results, along with the much sought after CrapHeap Challenge Trophy, will be announced at the closing ceremony.

You'll be astounded at what can be achieved with a little elbow grease and a pile of junk.

Teams should register their interest at Reception as soon as they arrive at the event and the winners will be proudly featured on the SFB Events website.
